Moyses approaches the theme of domestic abuse suffered by women, primarily within their own homes, through live group performances recorded by video and photography. Her work is poetry written using images, inspired by women across the world, who have decided to convert their experiences through creativity and continue their lives on a positive path. The wedding dress features throughout her work as a metaphor of both the idealized dreams of happiness and these painful incidents that shattered them. The women reflect the dreams that were thwarted on their wedding day. Moyses’ work is permeated by a confident atmosphere, as she grasps the emotions suffered by each woman that they themselves have converted during the performance. Every woman who appears in her work portrays an inner power, surmounting past experiences and developing in spite of them.

Gotejando reveals a ceremonial action between artist and daughter; the inheritance of experiences is implied as the child sews the tear-shaped pearls, taken from her mother’s dress, onto her own dress. The performance Mosaico branco por 60 mulheres was made in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Sixty women, wearing their wedding dresses, walked in procession, each carrying a piece of marble, to build a mosaic in front of Sao Bento Monastery. Each step of the installation is a symbol of love, hope and illusion that these women place in the ground they walk upon. Moyses personalizes every moment of her practice, working with women that desire change and to give something of themselves. Art ceases to be just art and becomes a call to the heart to reveal its most intimate secrets.

Moyses has exhibited widely across the Americas, in Spain and China; this includes And Pass, a performance at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain (2008), Lecho Rojo, a performance at the ARCO Art Fair 2008 in Madrid, Spain and Between-Reds at the Galeria Adora Calvo in Salamanca, Spain (2007). Her work features in numerous collections, including those of the Museo de Bellas Artes de Santander, Spain, the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, Valencia, Spain, the 21C Museum, Kentucky, USA, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Madrid, Spain and the Museu de Arte Contemporânea, São Paulo, Brazil.
